I am traveling to the ASIA Symposium by motorcycle.
I will be coming up I-81 through Virginia from Tennessee. Just wanted to see if anyone had any suggestions as how the best way would be to get across to Westminster. Looking at my map, maybe getting off of 81 around Winchester and heading up through Frederick or maybe going up 81 to Hagerstown and going east toward Westminster. Just hoping maybe someone who is more local might know some shortcuts, or places to avoid.
My thanks and I am looking forward to meeting this group. Tom Harbin

Hi Tom,

I live in Frederick. Your plan for getting of near Winchester is the best. Get off on rte 340 at Stephens City. Take 340 to 15 North; careful, it's a tricky exit.

about 2 1/2 miles later you will want bear right on rte 26 towards Libertytown. Stay on 26 until you get to rte 27. turn left there, and stay straight to Westminster.

This is the most direct route, by far. Take a look at it on Mapquest.

If you think you might want to call, email me or send me a pm. I'll be glad to help.
